Steven R. Canter is founder and President of CPI Consulting, Inc in Newport Beach, CA--previously Canter Property Inspection & Consulting since 1996. CPI has been performing inspections and consulting for property owners with indoor environmental concerns, both residential and commercial, for these past years.

His background is in construction.  Since the early 1960s, Mr. Canter worked with his father and grandfather, building contractors, and other craftsman in multiple building trades.  These people passed on their diverse skillsets, learned over a lifetime, to Steve.  Mr. Canter leverages this vast knowledge in every detail of building construction in his home inspections and mold investigations. 

Mr. Canter is committed to the quality of his service--a trait seldom found in today’s professionals and companies. His dedication to provide timely information to help his clients keep their homes healthy and safe sets him apart from the rest. “Personal Care” is what Steve strives to provide to each and every client.

CPI provides Inspection, Consulting, Indoor air sampling, Moisture Surveys as well as written scopes of work for mold remediation projects. CPI can work as your expert in documenting and verifying conditions during remediation and reconstruction.
