Mold inspections are critical for structures that have suffered water intrusion.  The combination of the wind and rain of hurricanes is a recipe for water intrusion.  Fortunately, home owners and the public, especially in hurricane prone areas, are learning about the dangers of mold to health and property.  Once homeowners are able to return to their homes after a hurricane, they need to think about removing any current standing water from their home, drying out the structure, and having a complete mold inspection and mold testing.

Most recently, hurricane Ike left thousands of homes in the Houston and Texas coast area with massive water intrusion.   Homeowners need to act immediately to minimize the damage by mold to their homes.  Quick action is the key in keeping damage at a minimum.  The longer one waits, the greater chance their is to experience mold growth.
