AmIAQ becomes ACAC

The American Indoor Air Quality Council is changing its name to the American Council for Accredited Certification. The organization felt that its current name is too similar to the IAQA (Indoor Air Quality Association). The leaders of the organization feel that the new name more closely reflects its purpose. Nothing will change with respect to its currently issued certifications. The new name will be slowly phased in.
My only complaint is that the new name seems quite generic. It does not contain any words that relate it to the indoor air quality business. The AmIAQ or ACAC is an excellent organization with the highest standards of practice. I support their change and look forward to the adoption of the new name.
